Announcing our 2026 SPONSORS and supporters so far

9th Annual Event | Family Day Weekend

We are thrilled to officially kick off planning for the 2026 Harbour Harvest Charity Ice Fishing Derby, our 9th annual celebration of winter, community, and giving back. This year, we are especially excited to share some major news—and it starts with welcoming a new lead sponsor.

🎣 Big News: SAIL Joins Harbour Harvest as a Lead Sponsor

We are incredibly proud to announce that SAIL.ca has joined Harbour Harvest as a lead sponsor for 2026.

SAIL is a nationally recognized leader in outdoor retail, and having them on our side is a huge milestone for this community-driven event. Their support strengthens our ability to connect people to the outdoors, introduce new families to ice fishing, and grow the impact of Harbour Harvest for years to come. We are honoured to partner with SAIL and look forward to building meaningful connections between our communities.

🤝 Returning Sponsors & Community Support

We are also grateful for the continued support of our returning sponsors, whose long-standing commitment helps make Harbour Harvest possible:

❄️ Partners Who Bring the Event to Life

Harbour Harvest is powered by collaboration, and we are excited to continue working with outstanding partners, including:

  • Scouts Canada – 116th Troop, who will once again help serve free Tim Hortons coffee and hot chocolate, generously provided by the McCluskey Group
  • Boreal River Rescue, returning to deliver their highly informative and interactive Ice Safety and Rescue Demonstration
  • Nepean Sailing Club, our host venue, providing a warm and welcoming space with comfortable washrooms and an optional delicious pancake breakfast
  • NEW for 2026: Baquero Multimedia Design, our multimedia design partner. Baquero works with small and medium businesses and non-profits to create modern branding, video, web, and digital content that helps organizations stand out and grow. They designed this new Harbour Harvest website and refreshed our event poster — [see below].

🇨🇦 A Truly Inclusive Canadian Winter Experience

Harbour Harvest works closely with community organizations to invite low-income and refugee families to experience this quintessential Canadian pastime at no cost. We provide all fishing equipment, and no fishing licence is required, as the event takes place on Family Day weekend.

Each year, the derby welcomes over 500 participants and raises thousands of dollars for local charities.

❤️ 2026 Charity Beneficiaries

Our two main beneficiaries for 2026 are:

  • Ottawa Riverkeeper – protecting, restoring, and promoting the health of the Ottawa River for current and future generations
  • Ottawa Community Housing Foundation – supporting programs that strengthen communities and improve opportunities for Ottawa Community Housing tenants

🏆 Community Sponsors & Prize Donors

We are also thankful for the support of local community sponsors and prize donors, including:

We look forward to announcing more sponsors and partners in the coming weeks.
